There's no need to envy the skin of those pampered supermodels. You can have it too! Although it's been lost to most of America, I have in my possesstion the cleansing regimen that has turned the lifeless complexion of many a woman into a radiantly glowing countenance. "Why would an ordinary person from Fargo, ND have such coveted information?" you ask, quite understandably. Because I've been living it ever since I learned about the formula waaaaay back in 1976. Admittedly, I don't look like a supermodel, but I honestly wouldn't trade my skin with anyone else my age. Even better, the routine costs mere pennies a day.
The Way Bandy Legend
Back in the 1970s, the late, great make-up genius, Way Bandy, had the amazing ability to turn ordinary women into breathtaking visions for the covers of Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and Cosmopolitan. Demonstrating the artistic flair of DaVinci or Monet, he skillfully shaded, highlighted and sculpted facial contours with his palette of colors and a few flicks of a sable brush. Longtime supermodels and actresses Lauren Hutton, Jacqueline Bissett and Renee Russo gratefully pay homage to Way Bandy and acknowledge his role in catapulting them to fame. His legendary transformation of Martha Mitchell, whose unretouched photo was selected for a 1974 cover of New York magazine, is evidence that any one of us could be a goddess when placed in his magical hands. But color wasn’t the only trick up his sleeve. Way Bandy had one rule that every would-be beauty had to follow, no exceptions...
The Salon is Your Kitchen
For thirty days before his brush touched her face, she had to scrupulously follow his regimen for cleansing the skin. He clearly wasn’t out to make money with his formula, as all the ingredients could be found in most kitchens. Rather, he claimed that this “recipe” would result in the most perfect canvas possible on which to create his works of art. Pure and simple. This routine is just as effective today as it was thirty-some years ago, and it’s based entirely on natural ingredients including raw organic honey, plain yogurt and free-range eggs. He believed that simple food items are vastly superior to even the best skin care lines found in luxury salons or expensive department stores. Chemical ingredients are too harsh when applied to the skin, forcing it to recover from the “shock,” and leaving tortured skin less than it could be. The natural ingredients in his formula gently encourage the skin to bloom, and the glowing face you’ll be greeted with in the mirror after 30 days of use will make you a believer, too. I’ve personally seen this cleansing routine transform the faces of dozens of grateful women!
Your Shopping List
Cornmeal
Yogurt, plain (unflavored)
Egg yolk
Apple Cider Vinegar
Thirty minutes of uninterrupted time (If only you could buy this!)
Directions:
Push hair back and secure with clips or a band. Gently massage one teaspoon of coconut oil on entire face and around eyes, beginning at the inner corner of the eye and moving in a circle across the top of the eye, around to the underside of the eye and back to the inner corner. Remove with a clean washcloth wrung out in warm water.
Apply two teaspoons of yogurt with the same gentle massage motion, and rinse. The lactic acid in yogurt acts a gentle exfoliator, loosening dead skin cells for the next step.
Make a paste of one teaspoon of finely ground cornmeal and water in the palm of your hand and lightly massage across the surface of your skin to remove aged and dead skin cells. Rinse.
Stir together one teaspoon of honey (an outstanding moisturizer and skin rejuvenator), one teaspoon of yogurt and one egg yolk (the phosphoplipids are next to miraculous); then apply mixture to entire face (eyelids included) as a mask. Rest and relax for 20 minutes while it dries. (This is the fun part.) When dry, fill a basin with warm water and one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, and rinse by splashing water/vinegar mixture on face 20 times. This rinse restores the precious protective acid mantle of the skin, keeping it dewy and glowing with youthful beauty.
Voila!
Dry with a soft towel and rub your hand over the cleanest, smoothest, softest skin you’ve felt in a long, long time. Bliss Spa in New York couldn’t do a better job of cleansing and rejuvenating your skin than you just did!!
